The annual Dell EMC Channel Academy and Awards 2020 took place yesterday afternoon, June 25th. This year we couldn’t celebrate the evening in a packed room of our peers in Carton House, donning our tuxedos and cocktail dresses but instead we all took to our laptops to join, what has become the new norm of 2020, a virtual event.

The event kicked off with a panel discussion including; Jason Ward (VP and General Manager for Ireland), Alex Brousse (VP and General Manger for Channel WER) and Philip Maguire (Distribution Director WER), who discussed their plans for the Irish Channel business to continue the tremendous growth Dell Technologies have seen in recent years.

After some quiz fun on Kahoot, the subsequent awards element of the afternoon kicked off. Team Asystec were nominated for numerous awards on the night including Storage Partner of the Year, Sales Person of the Year (Lorne Chedzey), Services Partner of the Year, Technical Person of the Year (Victor Forde) and were honoured to be bestowed with the most prestigious award of the night ‘Partner of the Year 2020’.

“It was great to celebrate another successful year aligning with Dell Technologies.  We always aim to immerse ourselves into our partner relationships to become an extension of the vendors we work with and so we are delighted to see that hard work and dedication to the Dell Technologies Portfolio recognised by being awarded the most prestigious award of the event”, comments Asystec MD, Les Byrne.

A massive thank you to Gemma Hynes, Colm Greene and all the Dell EMC team for another fantastic, informative and fun event (despite these challenging circumstances) and well done to everyone who was nominated or won an award on the night!
